No Tower
« on: November 12, 2004, 03:16:41 PM »
I've created a new map that covers New Guinea and Rabaul. It looks great in the AH "Classic" Terrain Editor (33 airfields).

I've brought it into the AH2 Terrain Editor via the "import" facility, but now none of the airfields has a "Tower" or a maproom. The last time I did this (with my "Solomon Islands" map) I didn't have any problems with the "Tower" objects, and you guys helped me figure out how to handle the maprooms.

So.....  my new question: has anybody else had this problem with airfield towers failing to import? Or can you figure out a workaround? I don't see any "Tower" shapes available.

Can I just use some other shape (Truck, for example), and assign it a "Tower" attribute? Or is there some trick to making the "Tower" shape available?

Regards,

The towers are built in to the airfields, but the current editor doesn't know that so you get a no tower error, just ignore it.

Thanks zmeg. That worked. Actually, I have some of my best success in life when I just "ignore" problems.....
