HELP! Can't understand manifold!
« Reply #3 on: November 02, 2004, 10:41:07 PM »
HELP!

What the hell kinda system is that manifold gague using?!?! +/- system?? How do I determine best cruise, if the rate issued in the E6B (for example) is 100mm, but all I see is an operational range of motion from -10 to at most +24!

What gives?

How do I read the damn thing?

How do I apply fuel consumption settings to it????

Krusty, its a mmHG system.

Basically the "Red Zone" is the power settings for combat, and the "Black Zone" is lower settings for normal flight/cruise.

(besides, really, the Ki-84 has fuel efficiency great enough to not have to use cruise at all. More than 40 minutes at deck at full power - pull back on the throttle and RPM a little bit and the flight time easily soars over 60 minutes)

Are you sure the one you labled oil temp is not oil pressure?
Anyone know what, historical did the 3 levers below the throttle/ rpm lever?
And the levers on the right.. the 3 stop one and the one next to it?

The two more to the fornt?

Where is the parking break?

ciao schutt

Oops you're right, I mislabelled them.

 It should be "oil pressure".
