Was a nice try, but I think it needs re-thought out.

Hehehe glitter  It looks like a bunch of little fish are sticking out of the watter and holding tiny little mirrors!

Have to admit, it reminds me of looking at graphics through an old TNT card. Nvidia glittery stuff.

OTOH, it looks like the settings on the card itself may be intensifying it a little.

I'm sure HT will get it dialed in. It's a new toy, all new toys need tweaking. I've never seen them let something stay substandard, or intensionally leave looking bad.

It'll come around ;-)

Tried it, turned it off, too unrealistic and distracting.  Still want warmer and prettier water and land colors, too.

if you have a good enough PC setup you can turn everything to full detail in 1024textures and i think it looks pretty spectacular down low, if a little dark. From alt it still looks ok to me.

If you find that from alt it looks bad, then you are flying too high, get ya cherry pickin arse back on the deck!

Was just saying at the moment it looks garbage, I'm sure it will be refined in the coming months.
Looks too much like it has dandruff from high up.

Think for a flightsim ideally you need a balance and something that looks good from any alt and FPS. Agree with the above posts, early days for the water in AH2 and I think it actually looks pretty good other then for the colour (too blue) and the strange sunlight reflection. Though it also needs to change to a lighter colour around coastlines especially for islands.

Sure it won't be long before it looks alot closer to something like this. And of course without the large frame rate hit that some including myself have experienced with it.
