Actually knocked off ONE horizontal stab off of a Yak.

Previously (i.e. every time for the past 3 years), I've only seen both of them come off at once.

But this Yak kept manuevering for about 30 seconds or so till the other one fell off.

So.. my question is was it lag related?  Did the game say "One stabilizer down, one to go" but the one that didn't get shot just didn't get the message for 30 seconds?

Or could the Yak actually have RTB'd like that if he had stopped manuevering, did the "stress" of continued manuevering take off the remaining horizontal stab?

Anyone ever been in a fighter and lose one horizontal stab and successfully RTB?

no but i saw Truekill flying a zeke with nothing but wing stubs on both sides for about 10 mins in the DA earlier.

when this kinda thing happens, like you it seems, i like to make believe that HT has really coaded some awesome stuff that we dont know of. kinda cool if you dont mind living in a little land far away called 'imagination'
And I don't know much, but I do know this. With a golden heart comes a rebel fist.

I've lost one stab on Spits and 205's in AH1.

Haven't noticed it yet in AH2; but then I don't fly much anymore.

I had a single HStab shot off last night, (flying spit V )very noticible diff in turn rate and ability to pull out of a dive, but still very flyable with judicious rudder and the correct angles.
