Help! Thrustmaster Programming!
« on: April 02, 2000, 12:15:00 AM »
Hi all!

Am setting my brother up to play AH. I gave him an old TM setup and I've simply forgotten how to program the stuff. (CH makes ya lazy!)

Anyone have files that will work for a:

F-16 FLCS hooked to a WCS Mark II

Please E-Mail the files to rjnolan@erols.com

Many thanks...I promise you some ez kills if we get him up and flying

Yes, make it easy on yourself.  Check out this site and download the program "Foxtwo".

I have the freeware version and it works great.

Also from this site you need to download "F16 FLCS RT200".  This is a patch for the FLCS that allows its macro program to be downloaded into the stick if you have a Pentium II or III CPU.

Good Luck!

I also have FCLS+TQS and i dont know how to calibrate the damned thing!!!...
I try to configure it in Windows, but there is no "f16" stick there. I have readed that you must add it as a 3-axes, 4 button stick. I do it but as soon as I try to push a button ,Windows wont recognize the sick anymore until I restart the computer!!!!!!

I have a set of FCLS+TQS+Elite pedals, all for Thrustmaster...no mark II.Can you help me (also any files configured for AH as cave's one would be helpful)
ebringas@airtel.net

Thanks in advance

You have to put the FLCS to sleep so that Win98 will recognized a trigger button push.  If the stick is awake you just send whatever macro is programmed and windows does not like that.

To put the FLCS to sleep: Rock the "Download/Run" switch to "Download" and then back to "Run".

To wake up the FLCS: Press the "S2" button (right side top of stick)

BTW I believe that TM recommends 3 axis 2 button configuration for Windows.

Good Luck!

Mino that's the S1 button on the right side, top

I usually dinnae program anything on TG1 for any game, and rarely use TG2 (second stage of the trigger).  In AH I use TG2 as secondary fire, so I'm firing my MGs, then squeeze a little harder to spit out a few cannon rounds =)

RAM I have the F-16 FLCS, WCS MkII, and Elite pedals.  I dinnae anything about the TQS other than what they look like.

Go to the thrustmaster website, in the downloads area, and look for a shareware program called EZBuild.  It has a real good reference section in the help file about programing them, and can even create the b50 files for you.
That would be alot easier than me trying to teach you to program it via email

I don't know about the MKII you will have to check the Thrustmaster site for specific information, but I have the F16 tqs and F22 and all you do is check 3 button 2 axis in the Windows Calibration routine and also check rudder pedals. Do not check the hat or attempt to calibrate the hat. Simply calibrate and then go to AH and calibrate there.
