New drone bug?
« on: November 11, 2004, 06:59:47 PM »
I'm suddenly having trouble with B-24 drones.  I takeoff and use autoclimb.  The drone immediately behind me pulls up above and passes me.  Then it slows down, drops below me and starts to drop behind.  It flies through treesd and builfings and eventually it falls so far behind that it apparently loses contact and explodes.  I never noticed this problem  before this last patch.

I had the same problem before the latest patch and still do. Thought it was due to my poor connection but get I tried off-line and got the same results. Saw a post that yesterday that said his problem happened only with 100% fule, but it's happened with 50% and 75% for me off-line and 75% fule on-line so far.

Lazy port wingman in B24
« Reply #2 on: November 12, 2004, 01:05:43 AM »
Getting it here too!

Here's how it unfolds:

Auto take off in B24s (with or without flaps).  2nd drone flies ahead, then over, then drops to ground on port side and lags behind.

I either A) have to reduce manifold to 35 and fly level at ~500 feet above field height (terrain providing) or B) make a slow left turn to decrease my port wingman's turning radius and allow him to catch up.

HiTech, Pyro...I've got video of the lazy port wingman if you want it.

Thanks
