it would be nice to have a way for buff to
do a follow the leader type of connection
you would highlit the lead plan us a key combination to lock you plane into his
control so that he will be the main pilot
with six pilots once could build a 18 plane formation all pilots will have to drop their own bombs but the leader would control the direction and speed of all of the planes that are lock onto his id

While it would produce some impressive looking formations, it seems that bombing is easy enough as it is. Although something like this would really only be used during transit since you would still have to brake formation for a specific target. I don't know, I'll say I'm neutral to the idea.

We already had auto take off and easy calibration, now you want autoflight, next will be autodrop, autoland and autofight as summit of desires

Do you think what bomber pilots sooo suck what cannt even keep formation?

then what will the player do?
you'd get a flight of 1 pilot and a whole bunch of bored gunners. The rare occasions in which I flew bombers, usually in formation, it seemed the whole point of piloting bombers is precision flying.

I can see it now - 3 players joined into a 9 ship formation of lancs: 1 skillfully pilot the formation to a kamikaze dive into the CV, while the other 2 man the guns all the way down.
