Ok we already have unkillable fuel, fast reseting hangers and now you want fast reseting troops?  If they change the down time on the troops there won't be any real way to stop the steam roller effect. As it is now with the hangers you fly over and kill them and by the time you make it back to base (asssuming your not one of the suicide dweebs) the hangers are back up.
So it doesn't do any good to kill hangers to try and stop the nmy for a while unless you have a mission going in to take the base. Fuel well we all know about the fuel situation. So all that leaves us to do is kill the troops.
So my advise would be learn to fly a C47 or drive an M3.  I do it and a couple runs usually get things back up and running. :)
Either that or if they do shorten down times on troops to let us kill at least some fuel maybe down to 50% or so. :D

i think  that  things  destroyed  should only be repairable with resupply
that would stop  a lot of  base  killing by  the  attacers fora  capture  and make others work

If the strat for the "zone" the base is attached to is porked, then that particular strat will take longer to reup.

I seem to recall resupplying strat on Festers map with a guy before.  I got hellacious perkies doing it too (20 plus perks iirc)

If you get the associated strat up to 100%, then things like ammo, barraks etc will up just as fast.

IMO the idea that a single pass with heavy cannon can apparently take out all infantry in an area is not quite right...........

Cannons???  I usually go in with a 51B and can take out the troops with the 50s.
So I guess it wouldn't hurt to make the troops a little harder to kill.

Maybe putting more than 1 barracks structure on the field?

Imagine that each field carried  at least a regiment strength force of infantry............... just to one side like a small town.....scatterred tents and nissen huts dug in with small 20mm gun implacements.

Barrcks are wierd for visability too the dont appear to render nearly as well as the other field objects.  You have to be quite close to see them at all sometimes.

I think the idea of more barracks objects is good, maybe even make the town part of (or replacement for) the barracks strat.
