Ok I have a dilema, how aggressive should I be?:

I dont now what I'm doing wrong , when I see a low con I have the advantage , them I work for the dive moment then dive, generally I never kill anybody at the first pass, if he turns I just turn a little with him them I disengage and extend, when I see he's turning to me I climb and get ready to the next dive, :
1) more cons comes to help him
2) if I fly a slow plane he extends and never can catch him
3) he have some time while Im extending to get some E and when I dive he climbs to reach me nose 2 nose

ok how much should I extend before the first pass?
how much should I follow him at the first pass?
is better to dont extend and make some hi-yoyo or lag roll, etc.? (this is to me a very aggressive way to figth)

I'm flying now the f4u-d and only this plane, well sometimes the spit 5 when base defend.but lets take the corsair like example

any help please  ?

Whenever I see a low con I dive on it ASAP, I don't give him a second more time to spot me. If I see that the target is piloted by a smart pilot, then at the second pass when im diving on him ill throttle back and get him when hes evading.

While you have the advantage, be very aggresive.  When you start to lose your advantage, it's time to go defensive and look for a way out.  Once you are cornered and can't get out... go aggresive again since it's better than dying on the defense. <G>

Basically, in the Hog, it can't climb or accellerate very well.  That means you need an advantage starting out, or you will die, and fast.  Now assuming you start the fight with an advantage, you should have lots of E and be fast.  As long as you are fast, don't be afraid to pull hard and be aggresive to get the kill.  On the flip side, don't burn too much E unless you have a good chance to kill the guy, or you will just have to run 10 seconds later.  It's tough to find that balance... I haven't and I've been playing for years.    The fun part is slowly getting better at it.

Remember, the BEST attribute you have in the Hog is your initial turn-rate when at high speed, combined with a good roll rate.  Stay fast, and USE these capabilities to kill your opponent before you lose your energy advantage and have to bug out.  Trust me, if you use your high-speed roll and initial turn capabilities in the Hog you will surprise many and get quick kills.  If you wait too long, you will lose your advantage and have to run.

Be very aggressive if you are fast and have the advantage... then run away. <G>  If you can't escape, go aggresive again and blast away for all your worth... at least you'll go down shootin'.

ok tnx's guys
but Im just thinking one thing ,so if Im to aggerssive I will lose E faster so if there are some other cons? ok maybe I will kill my target but I will be a siting duck to the other guys because I loosed my initial E advantage so in this case I should be less aggressive I mean extend and zoom more with gentle turns less tham 3 g's
am I wrong?

You may want to look at bouncing cons another way: Instead of looking to kill them, look to get them in a compromising position and work for that. You want to try get him slow, once he slow your bounces will be 90% effective. If he is fast when you try to bounce him (and you'll be even faster) you run a good chance of missing totally and waste E and run the risk of him following your zoom.
Try to get them to turn after your first bounce (assuming if you miss) - ie attack from a reasonable angle off tail, then they will turn to re-aquire you (and slow down) while you zoom up to your perch.
When you think they are slow make a bounce from the 6 pos and if ya dont kill him zoom striaght up (have to have lotsa speed for this) 60-70% of people will follow you up, then just hammerhead over and nail them as they are floundering around.

Of course if you fly the F4-U then it has great intial turn rate at high speed, so use it to pull lead for the kill shot on your bounce. Same goes for P51.

Make your primary objective to wear him down rather than killing him, then the kill will be the easy bit.

well, basically I am just going to say mroe of the same. If its a 1 on 1 thing adn you are in a F4U then hopefully you are higher than he is. In this plane you really gotta strive to keepm all your manuevers in the vertical. Each time you make a pass he will have to burn energy to evade, work him till you can make a pass at him from his 6 and he is slow. He will be meat on the table. Dont make passes from anywhere but his rear quarter. you want to manuever to get in his rear quarter first.

Now-- the MA (the real world in AH). Wouldn't it be nice if all your fights were when you had an alktitude advantage? And everyone would wait till the other guy was finished to attack? And your opponent would allow you the oppertunity to climbout?   you get the picture Im sure terra.

Ya know there are guys that dont ever die, or at least not very often. They rarely (if ever) enter a furball. They fly planes like teh 109G10, or P-51. And they dont mind leaving a fight prematurely unless it looks like a sure thing. These guys fly to live, thats OK by me.  Then there are guys that look at the map and find the sector with the longest red bar and make a beline for it. they are gonna die for sure, however they will probably take a few with them. Both types are having fun, just differently.

All I mean is keep practicing, and have fun. practice your SA, ( a good excercise is to turn off enemy icons,  promise your view cycles will increase) Dont attack a low con if his buddy is higher. better to work the high one down. SA is an ongoing , changing thing. As the situation changes you must adapt. sometimes you gotta just pass up those lower cons.
