I wouldnt say Spit V is an easy mode plane... you can fly it in an easy mode, yes, but there are pilots that can really FLY that plane. Nowhere near easy mode... Its not the plane, its the pilot!

Oh, and whats a 'real' fighter jock? One with a big stick between the legs? Gold wings and dress whites...

My advice would be: Try and find a plane that you like and that youre comfortable to fly in. Try it out in DA or TA. Dont bother about what other people think when they see it.
Im usually not taken seriously in my Hurri IIc, until i pull the trigger.

About my preferences in MA?

I love fighters (Furballs, defense, 1vs1 intercepts,...)
I love sinking CVs with Ju87 (couldnt find out how to survive the dive yet

)
I love killing unsuspicious town buildings (they keep jumping me though)
I love flying with squad... (clearing sixes, getting mine cleared)
I love getting chased by at least ten cons on my six (two proxies of them crashing behind me included)
I love staying on the six of a con, never hitting a thing cause my aims too bad...
I love landing hard earned kills...
I enjoy FFA's with squad in DA
Im completly unable concerning b&z tactics...

I stick to mainly GV's tho. I like to drive them. I wear my helmut when I drive

I like a little bit of everything I suppose..

Fighter I like to Boom and Zoom like no other.. I love sneaking up behind someone at 500mph and blowing them out of the sky before they knew i was there. I don't usually turn fight much. Usually get owned if I do that... Not by the person im fighting, but some other dude that comes in behind me and gets me before I can finnish the duel. I fly almost anything just as long as its fast with exception to the lala. *cough* dweeb plane *cough*

Attack I love killin those tasty gv's with my a20.. And one pass fighter and vehicle hangars are always fun too.

Bomber I'll fly high, I'll fly low. I always do some damage.

Vechicle I like the Ostwind the best prolly.. Thats really the only thing i can get very many kills with.. Its the most fun anyways. I've also been known to shoot down lots of planes in 5in ship guns

Anyways, thats me..
