T-34/76 bugs
« on: November 19, 2004, 03:21:54 AM »
Suspension is acting like a coil spring. The suspension will contract when it contacts a slope, then suddenly spring the whole tank into the air. It also wallows around after hitting any bump and continues to wobble after stopping or firing a shot for a considerable length of time. Whatever you did, I suggest it be undone.

AP and HE shot does no damage vs anything. I've fired 26 rounds of both AP and HE shot against an AA gun without killing it. No, protected structures is not on. The gun is doing no damage to structures. A single 37mm AP or HE shell from the M8 obliterated AA guns, yet this 76mm won't. This bug has been reported since 2.01 and has yet to be fixed.

Reload time is incredibly excessive. 12 seconds for the T-34 vs. 3 seconds for any other vehicle. Either the reload time is off for all of them, or the T-34 is the only one with this glitch.

The reload times are correct.  Baiscally the T-34/76 had a really, really bad ergonomic setup for the loader.

In most tanks the ammunition is stored in the turret and the turret has a floor, so that people standing in the turret rotate with the turret.

In the T-34/76 it only had the first 6 rounds in the turret.  The rest of the ammunition was stored in ammo boxes that make up the floor.  As the turret turned the loader had to shuffle around on the ammo boxes to keep up with the turret's rotation.  To load, after the first six rounds, he had to remove the empty shell,  bend over, open an ammo box, take a round out (and maybe put the empty shell from the privious round into the vacated space), close the box and then place the round into the gun.

flackbait, was that online, h2h or offline? Found a bug that effects it offline and h2h only, works properly online.

Both the suspension and AP/HE bugs are happening offline, HT. While the ammo bug is downright annoying, the suspension bug can be pretty fun if you hit a hill at the right angle. Still, it makes for a miserable gunnery platform that bounces, wiggles and wobbles all over the place.

Ahh, okay Karnak! I had no idea it was laid out that strangely. Thanks for the info.
