From I-5 South, take the Las Pulgas Road exit.

It'll take me a little longer to google the name of the Enlisted Man's club, but time is a luxury.  After all, I may have been doing something else.

I've been out of the Marines Corps for 23 years..The last thing I remeber is an exit on a California Freeway..Sorry

However if you want to no a little about the USMC from is...I went to Paris Island in 1977 wound up in an artillery battery in Camp Legune (10th Marines) was transfered to Pendleton in 1978 (end of) Artillery Battery there (11th Marines) I used to hang in Oceanside with all of the other Jarheads...1979 was transfered again..this time Kaneohe Hawaii 12th Marines and spent my final years there traveling everwhere before finally going back to Pedleton in 1982 and being discharge as the NCOIC of the Marine entrance Company in Parris Island S.C..However I don't no the freeway exit there either.

I was also in the Marines.  Since I was too smart to be a grunt, I didn't go to SOI right out of boot camp.  I went to MCT before going to my MOS school.

On the day before our first time to get to go to town we had the local police department representative talk to us.  Well, actually to warn us.

His warning:
  • Nine out of ten 'women' you meet in town are actually men
  • These 'women' will put something into your drink
  • You will pass out, probably in a hotel room with them
  • When you wake up you will have two holes
  • One in your wallet and all your money will be gone
  • The other in your arse
  • Enjoy town


Needless to say, since I drink alot I choose to stay on base and enjoy the cheap beer and lousy pool tables at the E Club.
