So what new and exciting things will we be able to watch as a result of this, I mean it's not like we don't get  American News channels already.

I don't understand what all the "hoopla" was over this issue, our CRTC makes stupid rules, they get challenged and life goes on.  Besides, with all the "pirated" satellite cards around a lot of Canadians have already had access to this media should they choose to do so.

But if you think this is good for us Canadians then great, can we interest you in some CBC down your way….

Its always good to see the other side of issues.  That's probably why some democrats and independants made my ballot this election.

You missed the good globe and mail story

bye bye

Considering that our PM allready doesnt have a majority...kicking one out of the party is really something.
They had to do something though. She probably would have attacked bush and been killed by the secret service.

I agree with you completely about seeing both sides of the issue, unfortunately this is not a common occurrence on this board.  But I wonder what "other side" you’re talking about, will Fox News suddenly provide me with insight and perspective that is not available elsewhere.  As we are all aware different broadcasting agencies have their own agenda’s and target different segments of the population, no problem with that, that’s how they make their money.  I have access to over 100 channels on my cable network, the majority is American and I surf through them all when I have time, I even stop and watch American Chopper cause it’s fun to see the love between Paul Sr. and Paul Jr.  I try to keep an open mind and look at things from different perspectives and I try to respect other’s opinions.

The problem I see here, not with FOX, but with the board (or at least some of the members here) is that they are unwilling or unable to look at things from another point of view.  Because someone has a different opinion or thought on something does not make them a (insert country of choice here) hater/stalker/basher, they are just someone with a different opinion.  Having said that if someone wants to believe someone else is a (insert country of choice here) hater/stalker/basher then that is there opinion and they are allowed that.  But I seem to be digressing; I have no problem, as I am sure most Canadians are in agreement, with FOX broadcasting in Canada.

"London — Britain's House of Commons moved to outlaw fox hunting Thursday, winning a dramatic standoff with the House of Lords to ban a popular country sport that is despised by many urbanites. Royal assent to measure, making it law, was expected within hours."

I am perfectly willing to listen to the other side so long as it doesn't come from liberal socialist girlymen kerrie voters.
