Axis:
ES: 4**
Grave Diggers: 1 (4 - 6)
Fate: 8 ( 7 - 10)
The Dirty Dozen: 2 (4 - 6)
Most Wanted: 4 ( 4 - 5)

The Damned: 5 (7 - 11)

Participation
Allied: 90
Axis: 72 (76)
Total: 162 (166)

Footnotes:
*: Who does BatfinkV really belong to?
**: ES had 4 members who belonged in III/Jabostaffel.  They show up in the logs but never flew in the ES squad.  This thew off the Axis totals by 4.
***: I WAGed this for BoP, so I won't hold it against them  :)
****: One of the Lancers (68Hall) ended up in No Squad for the Allies

Top Performers
Number 1 Ace: 50cals (VMF-101 "Nightmares") 8 kills landed.  Bravo Zulu!
Number 2 Ace: AKkobek (Arabian Knights) 7 kills landed.

Number 1 Points Scored: USGlove (U.S.M.C.) Three hangers, radar, fuel, and 2 Bf110G-2s for 730 points
Number 2 Points Scored: JRCCrow: (U.S.M.C.) Two hangers, two fuel, an ammo bunker, and a Fw190A-8 for 560 points

Points
Ground Targets:
A medium airfield is worth 2,245 points
A small airfield is worth 1,640 points
A vehicle base is worth 1,265 points

Town buildings, "Structures" and "Unknown Objects" don't count.

Field A37: No Damage
Field A38: Destroyed*
Field A39: 1,885 Destroyed, 360 Remaining
Field A40: 2,225 Destroyed, 20 Remaining
Field V102: 450 Destroyed, 815 Remaining
Field V103: No Damage

Footnotes on field damage:
*: We might want to make sure the arena was not set to rebuild objects; at the end of the event I CMEyed all targets, and the only structure down at A38 was the Radar.  At A40 there was a fuel dump up that the logs say is down.  The numbers here are taken from the logs, so even if objects rebuilt they're still counted as destroyed.

Aircraft:
P-51B: 25 losses for 250 points
Spitfire Mk IX: 18 losses for 180 points
Typhoon: 1 loss for 10 points
B-26B: 4 losses for 80 points**

Me 109G-6: 24 losses for 240 points
Me 110G-2: 17 losses for 255 points
Fw 190A-5: 4 losses for 20 points
Fw 190A-8: 13 losses for 130 points
Ju-88A-4: 7 losses for 140 points**

Footnotes on Aircraft Damage:
**: For bombers I went in and counted kills recorded since the formations actually mess a few things up in the scoring.  For fighters I used deaths recorded rather than kills scored.  A loss is a loss is a loss.

Bounty:
daddog wasn't able to fly, so no bounty points will be awarded for this frame.

Results:
Allied totals -
A37: 0 points destroyed
A38: 1640 points destroyed
A39: 1,885 points destroyed
A40: 20 points remaining
V102: 815 points remaining
V103: 1,265 points remaining
Aircraft: 785 points destroyed
Total: 6,410

Axis Totals -
A37: 1640 points remaining
A38: 0 points remaining
A39: 360 points remaining
A40: 2,225 points destroyed
V102: 450 points destroyed
V103: 0 points destroyed
Aircraft: 520 points destroyed
Total: 5,195

Final Results
Allied Orders
Primary: Defend A40, destroy A39
Secondary: Attack A38 and A37, Defend V102 and V103

Axis Orders
Primary: Defend A39, destroy A40
Secondary: Attack V102 and V103, Defend A37 and A38

The Allies failed to meet their primary objectives; A40 was destroyed with the exception of two soft gun batteries.  A39 still has ordinance and fuel as well as barracks operational.  Secondary goals were partially met by the destruction of A38, though V102 suffered some minor damage.

The Axis successfully completed their primary mission; the destruction of A40 and defense of A39, though A39 is more battered than the High Command would have liked.  They failed to defend A38, but were successful in damaging V102.

Allied victory on points.
Axis victory on tactical results.

Final Analysis
While the Allies won the battle if they keep winning like this Normandy will be another Dunkirk.  The Luftwaffe successfully pushed the Allied forces back and while they sustained heavy losses doing so the Allied position on the continent is not one of strength.

Frame two of Breakout! will be held on December 3rd.  The map setup will slightly favor the Axis due to their tactical win in Frame 1.

In regards to the issue of the ES squad. They are actually apart of the III/Jabostaffel. The logs seem to be duping them because they have in their squad handle.

My apology for the low numbers. I should have lowered it to the next step down, this month, but I thought we would be ok. Just in the past 2 weeks I have lost 2 more guys that show up on a semi regular basis. WWIIOL is sucking my squad dry. ;) Thankfully we have a couple new applicants that might make up the difference. I will point out to the Frame C.O.’s that my squad will have only 8 or 10 show up. :(

WTG on keeping track of the numbers Puck. :)

I want to point out that while techinically, Shillelagh had 8 players, we only fielded 6 planes.

We had a new guy who wanted to see what Squad Ops was all about, so one of our guys took him on as an observer. I was the other observer. I was stuck on my wife's computer, and didn't have CM Eye set up, so I joined with MonZuma to keep from dying of boredom in the tower.

Sikboy and others .. remembe that you can go 2 over your max and 2 under your minimum. Which is why I think that Puck has you guys in orange.

Your fine at 8 (just 2 more than your max which is acceptable).

Its the red guys who are under or over even with this -2 and +2 clause.

I know. I was just pointing out that we only had 6 planes in the air.

Along Sik's train of thought, is there a measure in place to allow extra squadies to still be in the arena as observers (not gunners) or would they need to be out of the arena?  This would be in the case Daddog lowers our commitment numbers and we get most of our squad out one night and are over our committed numbers.  Could these extras observe or would they need to exit the arena?

You can have all the gunners you want. If we had listed 7-10 pilots and 20 showed up we could fly up to 12 bombers and the other 8 could be gunners. Or as you mentioned they could be observers also. Only when squads field a significant number of aircraft over what they listed is it a problem.

That whole post was done in Abiword-2.0, so adding color was a piece of cake.  Just makes it easy to see how people are doing.

You have to realize I do everything in Linux; the only programs I have on the Windoze machine are games.

=S= All

First I must appoligize to the Axis for the Gravediggers coming in below the required numbers.

One of our squad had a funeral (He got married!!!)  >G<

3 Others were away on vacation for the Holiday.

And my mother was diagnost with Lung Cancer and had surgury so off to Yuma Az I went.  Since my father is legally blind I may be hit or miss during the kemo (? spelling).

Again my appologies for us only fielding 1 pilot during frame 1.

So far Dec 3 Looks good for us to have our 5 - 7 pilots.

Regards
