Guys are running into them landing and taking off but at least you can "know" that they are there thru experience. Pardon me if I cant memorize the whole map...further its becoming routine for folks to "scrape" others of there 6 with trees....to me its gaming the game (something you know alot about
) when you exploit a feature thats going to affect folks differently. For now anyone with highend equipment has a disticnt advantage down low or in GV's.
The same goes for ack bud.
Unless you have your "sliders" set up to or near Max settings for detail its not visible until your right on top of it. Its one in the same and has to do with the way the game was designed.... These features that is. They are both game effecting objects. Meaning if you can't see ack, your at a disadvantage to the player who is in it. The same could be said for trees. You can't see it but the other pilot can. Thus giving the other pilot an advantage over you.
I have no problem seeing trees or ack. My system works fine with settins all at max detail. But for those who cannot set their sliders at max detail, I think its unfair for them....
Back in AH1, when you turned "ground clutter" off... Which was trees and the texture of the ground itself. There were only gains to be had... That being system performance. Now you turn the sliders down, sure you system runs faster but you can still run into a tree that you aren't seeing.
But ofcourse the fools out there think its a moot subject.
For those of you who see this topic as a whine, you need to take a closer look at the real issue. I say this only because I was called a whinner for asking that ack be made visible regardless of where and how you have your "sliders" set in the game. And I think for the trees it should be no different.
