Well been meaing to post this earlier but now i have time.

It seems to me Southern Cal is having some very wierd weather for this time of year. Early in October we got hit with lots or rain and just last week end a storm droped SNOW in Redland and some very low elevation area's. Normally where i live the small moutians see snow maybe once every 2 years. They are about 3000ft high. Well wake up sunday morning and almost down to the base is covered with snow, and look a therometer and it reads 38. Or something like that. Abnormal weather happening anywhere else in the US or is this just southern cal that is having this?

Nothing abmormal about the weather hitting Southern California. We've been getting weather like this every 4-5 years.

El nino is on again this year, from what I've heard.

Googled it and California and found this:

Well north east of LA in the antelope valley we got snow in some parts. I awoke to the very first COMPLETE fog and frost of the year. It was sureal driving to work this morning if the fog but no cloud cover.

Don't see anything "strange" about the weather. As Ack and Nash said, it's time for the cycle.

Otherwise, we've got a high pressure system sitting on top of us with a cold/wet front up in the PacNW that is going to move down into AZ late next week. Once the high moves down, the cold/wet front may move in from AZ if the low pressure system with it holds enough energy to get it over the rain shadow.

Normal weather for the Philadelphia area is abnormal.

Rain and cold today... was playing golf in the 60's on Monday.

completly normal here...though it feels a bit warm (only been hovering around 0c) i am assuming it has to do with the lower altitude than what im used to...

Toronto had the crappiest summer this year with cold wet weather. We hardly used the swimming pool at all, and not for lack of interest. It was just too cold most of May June and July. The fall has been warmer than usual and much longer too. In fact there are still trees with leafs on them.

I guess SoCal is getting our cold weather.

You can keep it as well.
