Any thing a plane can fly thru a bullet will pass thru...........


to prove this take a GV and fire at the various layers of canopy......... you should note that the bullets pass thru the upper level but not the lower ones...........

Actually deliberately flying thru uper tree canopy is pretty dweeby because there are bits of lower trunk and stem sticking into it so you are really gambling............ flying between adjacent areas of wood is fun but any one following who knows their stuff will just trail safely a few feet higher up until their foe runs out of  wooded cover.............. it only works when daisy chain members are  racing each other for the kill shot

actually the equation is

((1/2)mass) * velocity^2

So yes the velocity matters a LOT (ex. in bowling it's more important to get a ball that you can throw faster instead of a heavier ball).

I'm not saying make it possible to fly THROUGH trees, if that is the case then it should be looked into, but too many people complain just because someone is flying a small plane like the la7 like, i flew other day, going in between groups of trees and flying just above the canopy.

If people dive down to get me and auger, tough ....

Good example is a hurricane/tornado..  tree branches at 125mph can impale you and kill you..  now factor 200mph..  good luck.... pulling the "thru the hanger" tactic on trees i can bare but flying thru the tree canopy should go..  especially when bullets cant do the same...

The guy who was doing it to me was aiming for the trees not under them..  And note the exact tactic you describe as waiting for him to pop out I did and got the kill just he didn't pop out of the tree bed untill like 10 360's...

now if i was in enemy territory this could have been exploited (note exploited) until his buddies got involved.. not nice..  I just dont want to see the arena go to cheese with my limited flight time.. thats all...  gamey enough with dive bombing bombers..  And note I play quake too.... so I have tolerance to such...
