Hopefully it'll be in 2.02 which is the next patch to be released sometime this month of January 2005 if everything goes according to plan.

I explain how to make color in a small illumination.
step1, open 8bit gray scale image.
step2, change color mode to RGB color.
step3, To obtain the color for which you hope,
correct level to differ respectively in each RGB channel.
It is decided whether the color is beautiful by your sense.

The samples for the adjustment is displayed as follows.

Basic cross(modified for more accurate glow),
Type-3
AERO <> Sir thank you, if i understand correctly:

there will be only the 1 file, where black is transparent, and whatever color the lighter parts are is what you see "illuminated"?

is that correct?
I don't know what to put here yet.

I heard 2.02 is very close to release.

HT or Pyro, could you show us a new gunsight screen shot?

This is definitely a plus but as noted before, please give us the lead computing sights in the aircraft that had them...

With an option to turn them off, of course.

sorry for late reply again.

Alpha channel is not needed by addtive blending.
The black is transparent by addtive blend, and the background is never darkened.
Each RGB of all pixels of the image is added to RGB of the background respectively.
And it will be seen a similar shine in the reality.

There are becoming white if adding bright lighter parts to bright background,
and white interrupts your view.
It means glare of the light pollution is more realistically simulated.

Nice to have: A gunsight that doesn't change size when you move the head forward...

What zwerg said.  This eye candy is nice, but range estimation is impossible right now with the current AH sight because the size constantly changes with head position.  Not to hijack this thread though:

OK Mitus !!!! ... the new gunsight is a reality ... where are the goods ?

Is AERO gonna re-make a new package ? ... and can somebody please explain how to make these new sights ?

It appears that the support for the "old" alpha sights don't quite work like they use to ... they appear very light/white now.

Word on the street man is that all the sights will be white when against a sky backdrop. the alpha slider in your "preferences / gunsights" area  of your clipboard - that slider now controls the brightness only. So the only non white color you will get will be when your sight is show against ground.

In regards to sights I'd also like to see the aircraft with quick adjustment reticles be implemented.  The D Mustang has this option.  Not sure how easy it would be to implement.
