jumping bombers
« on: November 29, 2004, 11:06:45 AM »
I noticed somthing that might maybe be exploiting a bug or sumthing.

When one saddles up on bomber formation, and start to close in on the one with an icon, the guy changes planes and in a few seconds the plane one was aiming at, "jumps" magically to follow the icon plane.

Then when starting to aim on the new icon plane, the dude switch planes again, and again the plane teleports to a new location in a few seconds.

Aiming on the drones is no good, as they meny times do the teleport jumping :(

I guess its lag or sumthing, but very ennoying if the buff driver seems to exploit "teleport jumping"

Just wondering if anyone else seen this.

Been defending flight of bombers with single attacker hitting lead bomber. Attacker is in the center bomber's six, makes one pass and kills two bombers.

How do you do that?

Another bomber bug exploit is that bomber will rudder turn on the runway, Then takeoff. The drones roll off in another direction. It appears that the lead bomber (the one with the icon) is a single. When you shoot that one down, one or both of the drones magically teleport to where the lead bomber was, even if it's several thousand yards.

Bombers can also induce the warping (when in formation) by making hard banked turns in opposing directions (flat scissors). On the bomber's FE, the drones are flying smoothly and do not seperate far enough to explode, but on the attacker's FE, the drones warp from side to side, making a shot just about impossible.
