stutters and framerate
« on: November 30, 2004, 06:19:56 PM »
Anyone else frustrated with stutters and chitty framerate,  I've done everything I can to stop stutters.  My acceleration is off and still get them, never happened in AHI and before all latest AHII patches they were far and few between.  tweaked until i can tweak no more for framerate improvement.  Great game that can be a lot of fun playing but with the aggravations it's becoming less worth the cost.

Try the Hardware/Software forum... lots of people in there have hints on how to improve framerates.  It'll depends on what hardware you have to work with but some people have managed to get pretty good improvements.

Matrix, your best bet is to send Skuzzy a copy of your DxDiagnostic report, or post it in the Tech Support forum.  You can also post in the Hardware/Software, but Skuzzy will see it faster in Technical Support.

Had that problem just after one of the first few patches came out.
Solved if by uninstalling the game then reinstalling it.

BTW just go through uninstall or it wont work. Just delete AHII from your HTC directory, empty your trash, reboot then reinstall.

Solved the problem for me.
Also when you reinstall try doing it first without any of the soundpacks such as Waffles for example. First, then see how she runs

I know some folks have  framerate problems when some of the aftermarket sounds are played.

I had the same problem twice and each time deleting the game manually then reinstalling the game fixed it.

Oh and either DL and install the skins ahead as one unit or you may have ot wait a day or two for all the skins to catch up which in itself I've noticed causes stutters

Typo in my above post

I ment to say DONT use uninstall.

It wont work that way.

You HAVE to manually delete the AHII file then reinstall the game.

For whatever reason uninstall will not get rid of everything.

You will know if you have done it right if you have to reset all your views and you no longer hear any aftermarket sounds

BTW your welcome
