JB73, mine started doing the beeping Too after I went into BIOS and was messn around with settings but no idea what I changed. The message says fan not running then fan starts I can hear it come on then it continues to boot up and all is OK,, Except after I was messn with Bios seems my frame rate in game dropped from 70 to40 but was after new patch also so dont know whats up? K7t266 MB pro2, athlonXP 1900, GF 6800, 256mb,1024ddr ram. I'm always messn around when I shouldn't be.

well you probably turned on a protection feature of some sort about the fan...

AMD motherboards are notorious for not reading the fan RPM's... i forget exactly why, but it is a "bug" in AMD systems.

most, that is MOST BIOS have an option of "reset to default" or somehthing similarlly named. unless you have some overclocking, or other special setting, i'd recommend doing that, saving, and seeing how the PC performs.
I don't know what to put here yet.
