Given you know how to install aircraft, airlines, scenery etc.
I have nearly 6Gb worth of models and repaints.

Chicago O'Hare. Not unusual to have all 60+ gates filled, aircraft taking off/landing on multiple runways.

Military aircaft including helos now possible.
Few TX Air Guard Falcons go for a tootle around Dallas.

And don't forget the simple joy of taking a J3 or Waco up and putzing around any of thousands of airports all over the world.

I bought the orginial  from SubLogic 22 years ago.   That was on the Apple II.   I've had everyone since.

I just bought the 'Wings of Power' add-on from Shockware.
The B-29 is amazing....!   Plus B-17, B-24,  PB4Y-2 and Lancaster BIII.

The flight model has always been 'State of the Art' for PC's.

Map is the whole world.
There are ways to add airports in that aren't already in the game.

That's... not entirely accurate.  The most realistic flight model for consumer flight simulators is X-Plane (http://www.x-plane.com).  It performs actual calculations on flight surfaces to determine flying characteristics and is actually used by a number of small aircraft firms to test new designs.  Burt Rutan's SpaceShipOne was simulated using X-Plane to train the pilots for their flights out of the atmosphere.

MSFS is very pretty, no argument.  But the quotes around 'state of the art' in your message just aren't big enough.

You can fly from/to any two airports in the World. For ones not in the deafult MS installation, free downloads are available for most of them.
E.g here is one from JFK New York to Sydney australia

Multiple user, using freeware addon progs you can 'join' others.
