i just look at IL2 and drool

and at least i can run at that a full settings at a good fps.......:(

IL2 looks good but it doesnt fly well. you dont feel it like you do in AH.

IL2  FB is way too arcadey to compare to the shot i find in AH.

mechanic how do you make the plane pieces exploding look like that? you have some kind of program or something, cause when i shoot someone down the only thing that shows is a wing off or just blown up none of the cool stuff you uys have. and how did you get that fireball like that furb?

these picture are totaly unedited 2shad.

if you work for it you can get superb views from the film viewer. i run my graphics at the best possible setting with 75fps. max texture and detail. its the advantage of being broke after buying your PC :)

IL2 is just way more drooling and the feel hell yes it's got a feel .

But i bet  most off u give up to learn it to fly.

lately i fly alot online and offline.

I have alot of fun with the wildcat campain

U can open the cockpit in it full throttle , than chocks away and ur off .

Than u have to turn the the wheel to retract the gear. This by repeatingly stroking the assigned keys.

Than there is this beautifull carrier its deck is going left to right even the cable work when u land on it and yes u can see thee hook coming out.

than while u land u can see the sparkles when the hook touches the deck.

The line is visible und pulls ur plane back.

After that u can even fold ur wing.

Its all graphically visible

AH2 does have a way to go compared to that stuff

just my thoughts.

     Little things annoy me about IL-2..like the BS smoke trails
coming off the wheels on takeoff and landing.  Or dust trails on
a concrete runway.

     The lovely "hit the brakes and watch em fly right by" AI FM
is also irritating.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again --- Il-2 feels way too light. "Hell yes it has a feel", but that feeling is like the Ace Combat series. And that's a feeling that very few of us want in a realistic flight sim.

Drag seems almost non-existent. Each plane is way too agile (especially the P-47). E Retention on most planes is much higher than it should be (I pulled a triple immelman in an I-16... come on). And please... 109-E's don't accelerate that fast. Not nearly.

And I'll say this: It's not all about graphics. We have good graphics and an extremely good flight model (for the most part). If you think that graphics, and not gameplay, make the game... Then I have no reason to respect your opinions.

Same, I try to like it but, cant. I have 2.9ghz, 512mb and can run Il2 at full settings. AH I have all sliders on performance and I am only getting 14fps. 4 if I dive in on a single plane in h2h.

I don't think the feel is light in IL2 it's FM is really not bad.

it good the same counts for  AH
