I run the part's website here. I'm subcontracted on the side to manage the network, fix pc's, etc. Extra paychecks never hurt

On top of that, well, kind of to the side, I buy out obsolesence inventories and resell them to my dealer customers, who are in most cases the biggest wholesalers in the country for each brand. I can do anything Domestic or Japanese, but lately Mitsu, Chevy, & Mopar have been my bread & butter. Toyota is good, I have excellent buyers (including the dealership I work for), but their obs policies make it tough to find troubled dealerships.
My dad is a distributor, some domestic, but mostly Japanese. Before that he was a Toyota parts manager for a long time, and before that it was Porsche. It kinda runs in the family. I didn't want to do parts, always hated growing up in a dealership, but now I'm stuck in it after IT layoffs... now I'm making too much money to quit.
Speaking of which... how is your obsolesence looking?
