U.N. rules Canada should ban spanking

Im on a mission to learn the news of the world and refuse to use FOX news as my only source of news.

Quote
As a signatory of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, Canada is obligated to make periodic appearances before the U.N.'s Committee on Rights of the Child, which said the country should "adopt legislation to remove the existing authorization of the use of 'reasonable force' in disciplining children," the National Post reported.

The U.N. body says Canada should "explicitly prohibit all forms of violence against children, however light, within the family, in schools and in other institutions where children might be placed."

Why does Canada not obide by the UN laws? I'm very upset about this.

You think that's bad, I heard on the news that washington state banned parents from listening in on their kids telephone conversations.  That and something to do with teenagers having reasonable privacy and their phone conversations overheard by their parents cannot be used to incriminate them.

I can't wait until the rest of Canada gets to see FOX.

A striking thing to see Coulter ranting her blonde head off with the word "NEWS" hanging over her head like a glowing beacon of retardedness. Almost like an inside joke. Must be. And surrounded by a panel of complete jackarses.

Or Carlson saying watermelon he KNOWS is completely off the chain goofy... to the point where even the pawn Blitzer had to slap him down....

But oh boy! What raucous entertainment. Er did I just say that? I meant news.

Titanic.... with oomph, gusto and a dogged determinedness.

Drink it up, because really.... at this point... you're not left with many choices. Might as well not sink thirsty.... that'd be even more silly.

Well I'm sure that Kofi Annan will get right on this one.

As soon as his son is in jail he will exert all the power of the U.N. against such a troubling state as Canada and impose trade sanctions against them.

Such barbarians are not to go unpunished.  Such human rights being violated should be brought to the attention of the world and summarily denounced by said world.

My God.  Who will think of the children?

Nash,

Are we on the same side as this?

If so, that makes me unconfortable.

Then, I change sides.

There, that will show you.

You're right NUKE.  It's bull****, we signed, we are obligated.

PS:  Drunky you = full of teh crap!  This has nothing to do with Kofi, it has to do with the government of Canada choosing to make the decision to sign this contract and then deciding it doesn't it doesn't have to follow it.

"Then, I change sides. "

Oh wait...!

NUke..God bless you!..I am sooo happy you are able to think for your self.

That same link headlines...

"Bible thumper + Mathmatician Conclude Coded Messages are Written in the Bible That Proves of GOD Authoring the Holy Book."

and..

"Falwell Energized by 2004 Election"

I think that web site speaks volumes more than anything you might try to pawn as an original opinion.

Sunking...Pretty scary that blond biatch on Fox,even scarier is that it made it to air(frightening actually)..And Tucker Carlson...slam dunked by a real life politician.

Now that is sad.  Long as my kids live under my roof they are subject to my rules and invasions of thier privacy at any time and for any reason.

Be interesting to see what happens first time a kid tries to get thier parents in trouble for listening in....
