No hit sprites or damage on drones

Had this happen for the first time tonight.

Flying along in a 109G6 with the 20mm loadout, no gondolas, my wingy and I spot a B24 formation.  We dive in, he rails on the main buff and I aim for the left hand drone.  The deflection couldn't have been more than 30 degrees and the buff was not under my nose.  When I was within 200 yards the B24 was larger than the gunsight - no hit sprites or noticeable damage.

I was actually recording that flight, so I have it on film

I had something similar on Wed night, but no film.  Made a decent attack on a B24 with a P38.  Fired at short range and must have landed hits but never saw sprites.  Looked back and saw him leaking fuel.  Had to rtb and got the kill awarded on the way home.  I thoght I had hit him hard, I got the kill so must have, but never saw a hit sprite on the whole attack.

Never really chaulked it up to anything but maybe it's an issue if someone has experienced the same thing.  Even though there were no sprites I must have hit him because I got the kill and he did display some damage (leak).

Same as Soda. Attack a B-24, no hit sprites, but damage does occur.
