I say everything has it's vulnerable spots because if you hit them in AH, the things die. Aim for vulnerable spots like between the turret and chassis, the underside, repeated hits on PERPINDICULAR SURFACES.

Armor on ALL tanks has variations in thickness. Weakest armor is on the top and bottom. Next weakest is the rear.

A round does NOT have to penetratre to "kill" the tank. The spalling effect of an explosive round detonating against the outside causes chunks of armor on the inside to break off ant very high speed and zing around inside the hull / turret. This is a bad thing. There are alot of things inside that react badly to frags not to mention the crew.

FWIW an anti tank mine is about 25 lbs of explosive and will do BAD things to the tank. To think a 500 lb or 1000 lb bomb won't hurt the tank is sillyness in the extreme.

They just had a "Special" on the Military Channel that told of a battle between a German Tiger and a Sherman being used by French forces... The Sherman won!
All tanks and vehicles have their weak spots, and if you take advantage of that knowledge, You Can Kill Anything! In the game we play it is no different. I kill Tigers all of the time in Panzers, and have been killed by Panzers while in Tigers. Remember the story of David and Goliath?
It applies very well here!

Any tips on weakspots on the Tiger? Tracks or rear engine?
I tend to almost always be on the losing end going up against a Tiger.

Through & around the driver's view slit, just under the track guards (even better against T-34s), either the right or left sides towards the rear (can't remember off hand, maybe both sides?) - just above the track skirts gets shots at the gas tank, & rear shots against the engine. The real key is to make sure your shot is hitting with the absolute minimum angle on it to get the best possible chances at penetration.

All work pretty well. Driver's position shot is pretty easy, but the side shots can be very effective. Your chances of popping it increase dramatically from what feels like about 1400 & closer.

Really though, your best bet is to get your own Tiger I

or wait and pray quietly that Panthers, JSII's, Pershings, or tracked artillery is introduced

I have seen Inert 500lb eggs dropped at Air Shows and such and also live eggs dropped at Nellis AFB.....trust me, if a 1,000 egg dropped 10 feet short of a Tiger....it would be scrap-iron!! The blast radius for a 500lb eggs (200lbs of explosives) has frag flying 40-50 feet all over the place, and that is just an effective range of it. Anything over that is just candy coating. Now a 1,000lb egg, has close to 400lbs of explosives in it...the frag radius is close to 80 feet and a blast radius is way way over that....
The shear blast would flip it over, tear the tracks up really bad, or if it landed on it....well, let's just say then we will find out if there is an after-life!
