I tend to almost always be on the losing end going up against a Tiger.
Through & around the driver's view slit, just under the track guards (even better against T-34s), either the right or left sides towards the rear (can't remember off hand, maybe both sides?) - just above the track skirts gets shots at the gas tank, & rear shots against the engine. The real key is to make sure your shot is hitting with the absolute minimum angle on it to get the best possible chances at penetration.
All work pretty well. Driver's position shot is pretty easy, but the side shots can be very effective. Your chances of popping it increase dramatically from what feels like about 1400 & closer.
Really though, your best bet is to get your own Tiger I
