This games come a long way HTC
« on: December 21, 2004, 10:10:20 PM »
I've been flying about a month or so after taking a year break from the game. Up until then my longest break was a couple of weeks since this game went public in the fall of 99. I was an addict and really burnt myself out big time. Now that I'm back I'm flying in moderation and am not hooked like I once was. Having said that I think I can give a credible opinion on the direction of this game.

Well I've been pleasantly surprised with a lot of stuff since I've been back. The main of which is the fact that my beloved 109 looks real kewl. I like the skins that are available. I like the slats. I also like the "haze" in the MA now. There's a lot of this game that I don't know about, wouldn't have the time to check out. Like the ground game. I haven't touched a gv but they look fun. B24 is nice looking. The last coule of nights I've been flying with my squaddies and just really enjoyed myself. It was like old times.

I was wondering if anybody got any info on when the "Mission" arena (i forgot what we were calling it) will be done? I'm looking forward to that.

O, and you're talking about Tour of Duty (TOD), right?

where ya been?

nice to see you lurking around again :)

I still remember flying in the old warbirds ACA with you and torque. in fact you were the one that told me about aces high beta way back when in the ACA. and I still remember my first flight in ahbeta . you were there with that cannonenboot 109g10 and if i remember correctly I ended up dying and cursing a lot in a p51.
Fester was my in game name until September 2013

Since Im new to AH I dont know you but welcome back man.

From what I understand development on Tour of Duty will start in a full scale after the next patch. The next patch is planed to be out after the hollidays iirc.

Given the fact that it will take alot of new development it will take some time. So dont expect anything soon but expect more info about it after new years and during the first months of the year. But what do I know... Im just a dweeb.. ;)

Welcome back
Tex

Welcome back hblair.

The game has definately changed.  The new hit detection method has had a huge impact.
