because I'm asking you to make this thread different. Let's start a new trend. Like I stated before, I honored Jam Master Jay when he got shot last year, now I'm honoring Dime. Two muscians that I grew up listening to. I was lucky enough to meet Dime.
I'm not saying anyone didn't make a good point, I just ask that you start a new thread, and make that point there. I'd appreciate it.

I agree, Jamustas post was on the level, no racism, i guess only racists could have found something racist in his post.

I will honor Nates request and stay out of this thread now.

and RIP!

No, but you brought up a totally unappropriate point to this thread.  This thread is about honoring the memory of a great musician.  You essentially hi-jacked it and stirred the pot.

I refer you to Rule #2 in the forum rules.

"2- Threads should remain on topic, do not "hijack" topics."

I think a lot of people need to read those rules again.

That's fine, it's too bad you don't jump in more often.

Then make it for all the posts, not just the ones you see it applies to, and no need to threaten.

We don't read every single thread.  If I read a thread with inapproprate material in it, I take care of it, as does everyone else here at HTC.
If you read a thread to which we have missed that you find is violating the rules, all you have to do is either call or send an email to HTC.

Thats' fine, I can accept that. This was not started as a thread to honor anyone, it was brought up, imo, to talk about it. As it goes in another direction, as most threads do(and some start out as a flame, see " New Republican Seal", but I guess you missed that), and some don't like it that includes HTC employees, I am told to start a different thread about it instead of that person starting another thread intended to honor the musician.

This will be my last post about this. Superfly, I dont see why you feel the need to threaten me. My initial post did not have anything negative to say about the musician, the culture or the music. It was about violence in music and how this could happen to anyone and just wanted to point that out. No personal attacks on anyone. I said the comunity as a whole. Then as usual the community attacks and yet you threaten me. Dont blame me if they cant have a mature conversation.

I stand corrected, you are right, this was not started as a thread to honor him.... it was my fault that I assumed that it was.
BTW, I didn't tell you to start another thread, I asked you to, as a favor to me.

I understand, music plays a large part in my life too. It's hard to believe that someone who has brought so much to so many through his music is lost this way. My thoughts go out to the family, we lose family members in many ways, cancer, accidents, etc., but to lose them in such a senseless way must be devastating.
