I drank a half bottle of scotch last night while watching a couple of movies I rented from Block Busters.  Think it's time for "Hair of the Dog".

I talked to my wife on skype and went to bed alone... again... like I've done for the last 11 months.

After a Thai dinner we celebrated that the littlest one crapped in her potty all by herself for the first time.  Time to teach that kid to wipe!  We put the kids to bed and watched “Rent”; not what I thought it would be: AIDS, shooting up, sickness and death.  The drag queen was great though.  It took an hour’s conversation to switch from that mood to a proper Valentine’s Day mood.

Glazed, huh? Would that be plain or chocolate glazed?

Last night was the usual homework with the kids, and reading.  My wife and I celebrated this past Sat night. We went to "Hops and Props", in which the Museum of Flight entertains 50 Micro-brew beer vendors and caters food, inside the flight museum!  It was our 2nd time attending it (they do it every Feb) and its really neat sampling a micro brew, listening to rock and rock music, stuffing our faces full of food, all under the wing of aircraft such as the SR-71(Actually the A-12, CIA version), FW109-D, F4U, P-51 Mustang, etc.

grilled 20oz ribeyes on the grill while the wife sipped her coffee brandy on the pergola. added loaded mash potatoes and an italian salad which we consumed outside on the pergola while enjoying an open fire in the fire pit. After dinner, we enjoyed the Eagles Hell Freezes Over dvd in surround sound, Hotel California being our song since '76. A very nice 30th VDay eve for us both.

eskimo have you seen the live production?  Much better of course, as I believe some of the staging is lost on film.

No I haven’t, I didn’t know the storyline at all.  In fact I had the story concept confused with another play.  We have friends who have seen it live six times and they said the same thing; live is much better than the movie.

Earlier in the week we watched Seven Brides for Seven Brothers; it was great and appropriate for the whole family.
