Check those out.  I'd reccommend several of them.  The DFI Lanparty board is probably one of the best, but its over 100 bucks and outside the price range you quoted.  Within 40 - 60 dollars I'd say the Gigabyte GA-7NF is probably a good buy, or the Biostar M7NCG (although its a few dollars above 60).  I have a Biostar M7NCD board and I'm very happy with it.  One thing these boards have in common is the Nforce2 chipset.  Definite plus.  The ASUS A7N8X is a great board, but again its over 60 dollars.  Likewise with the MSI K8T-NEO.  Good board, but over the range you quoted.

The only one I see on the page I linked above that is inside your price range that I would reccommend is the Gigabyte board at 48 dollars.  It's Nforce2, 400mhz FSB, takes up to 3GB of memory, has onboard sound and LAN..........and socket A AMD chips are a good bargain right now.  You can get a good deal still on a fairly fast CPU.  Granted, its nowhere near the new 64's in power, but it should be good for a couple more years at least if you stay at around 2.0 Ghz or higher as your speed to shoot for.  Athlon XP 2600+ or higher CPU, and some PC3200 RAM should keep you rockin for awhile.
