Question for skuzzy

Hello,

My HD died so I'm gonna get a mostly new sytem.  The question I have is will my 128 meg radeon 9700 pro be adequate with the following:

athlon 64 3400+ 939pin
asus a8v  deluxe
1gig pc3200

I'm running a Ti4200 on a 3400+ 754 with 1 gig of pc3200....

Runs great, you should be fine.....

Grun using a AMD 3500 A64 going from a 9800 pro to a x800 there was no noticeable difference in fps in AH.
AH is more cpu dependant currently so give it a go i do not think you will be disappointed.

Thats not to say there are no improvements from using the X800 series with AH but while using the 9800 pro i had a 12 fps jump on runways switching from a P4 3.2 to the A64 3500, so the cpu is where you will make most gains currently in AH.

You should be fine.  If anything, you may find you still have a little more overhead in that 9700Pro after the CPU upgrade.
