Film question.

How come I can never save my films in high res the highest resolution i can save in as 648x480. It makes the video look bad.

640 by 420   is actualy a good Video resolution...

You cant make a film that is at the same res as the game you your windows.

Its actualy very close to TV resolution   720x540  (actualy its 720x 486 with rextangular pixels)

So in order to compress a film into a size that most machines can play and download (talking MB's here)  640x420 is pretty,,, good
MPG or DIVX or Quiktime with Sorenson3 will Probbaly give ya the best results when compressing your edited film.  so Even If you put it on a dvd to watch on your tv  you would make it 720x486 at 30fps.,, or actually 29.99fps

Actually, TV resolution is 480i.


640x480
Two 320x240 pics interlaced together.

It takes the odd horizontal lines and shows  them first (for 1/60 of a second).  Then it shows the even lines next.  (for 1/60 of a second).  Add the total time up and you get 1/30 of a second.
30fps is achieved.

DVD is 480p
720x480 progressive.
It does have rectangular pixels.  Regular TV doesn't.
Shows the whole frame at once (assuming you have an EDTV or HDTV), if you have a SDTV, you will see it as 480i.

and I hate Fullscreen DVDs .... Widescreen Only!!
Fullscreen is like Buying half the film....

Try watching a dvd with
A progressive scan DVD player hooked up to an EDTV.

You'll never want to watch another DVD on a regular tv, with a regular dvd player again.

Colors are richer.
Picture is clearer.

Now, should i buy an HDTV for my computer  (42")
or down payment for flyin lessons....hmmmm
