Torpedo-armed B26s
« on: January 03, 2005, 09:37:27 AM »
I was looking through company photo archives and ran across the following photo.  It is captioned as circa 1943 and shows three Martin B26B4s carrying torpedos on their bellies. Caption didn't say what type of torpedo.

B-26A's I believe.

They used the standard Mk. 13 aerial torpedo I also believe.

Several of these aircraft equiped to carry torpedoes where used by the USAAC during the battle of MIDWAY.
