Four Browning .303 machineguns were installed in the tail turret of a Lancaster. The gunner also had the best view towards the rear, where any attacker was likely to appear, and he controlled the defense. On his signal the pilot would start the evasive "corkscrew" manuever.

It  is,Frazer Nash FN20A.

.............................

I have had this pick in my "unasigned file" for quiet some time. The reasion being I was not able to posativaely identify it, while the image source Tilt referances indicates it is a Lancaster turet, the type does not match the Images I have in My Lancaster Book, it does howeaver match material on Wellingtons and Sterlings vishualy to the point I am fairly certain it is a Frazer Nash FN20A.

Cool Link Tilt, I saved it and will read it in detail later, Aparently as noted it is a Lancaster tail turet type as well, I think now that I compare by book nad the sight, that what was throwing me was the presence of some armor plaets in the lower turet glasing, that and the lack of a specific model type being listed in the book.
