Saitek X52 problems
« on: January 05, 2005, 04:51:10 PM »
Hi i've recently got a X52, when i go into the joystick control map, and i try to set my hatch switches, nothing happens. I.e when you click one of your joystick buttons, it highlights itself, so you can click "set", this doesn't happen when i move my hatch switches. Is there something i'm doing wrong? :~[

Cheers.

are you trying to set map your hats in AH or with SST profiles?

Do the hats respond in the driver control panel?

You need to map the hat in the joystick selection screen first... At least I think that's what I did with my X45. But perhaps someone with a X52 can remember this better.

Yes, you'll have to select the hat switch as hat 1 in the joystick selection screen first...

using AH, not sure how to use those saitek profiles. I went into the Select joystick section and in there it showed one hat switch, so i set "Hat 1" to "Hat Switch" and applied, and when i went into stick map, when i moved my hat switch around the buttons would highlight, so its fine now.

Also on my other hat switch on the joystick i can "map" the hat switch "Buttons" to buttons in the select joystick bit, but i can only have left/right and up/down but not diagonals.

Thanks
