Rod, you're a good squadie,

I ordered the same item - added a 200GB sata drive for one hundred bucks and will receive on wednesday. Can't wait.

Only thing I would suggest to anyone using this offer. Make sure you go to viaarena forums and read how to install the software/drivers for the a8V especially if you plan on sata or raid etc.

Great Buy!

I just built (saturday 15th) Athlon 64 3400
1 Gig pc3200 mem (DDR 400)
CG mini server tower 400 watt PS
ASUS K8V SE Deluxe mobo
transfered into system from old:
ATI 9800 Pro
Western Digital 80 gb HD with 8 meg buffer (running IDE)
Soundblaster Live 5.1
8 USB Ports using USB 2.0 (480mps vs 12mps)

Old System:
ASUS K7V 333 mobo
Athlon XP2400
1 gig PC2700 DDR (333) with above cards and HD

System vs, System:

Burned in using SiSoft Sandra Pro

The Athlon64 3400 and RAM upgrade boosted performance in the
30 to 40% range....

HOLDING Frame Rate of 85 using 6X FSAA
1280X1024 32 bit color, and boosted detail settings in AH

great buy...well worth the price for the payback.

My upgrade didn't show up by Saturday, so I get to sit through a long 3-day weekend without my parts.  They'll probably show up Tuesday and I'll have to look at them all week until next weekend when I can put them together.

*homer voice* stupid post office closing on holidays makes eagl something something
Everyone I know, goes away, in the end.

going to build same sys with two raid 0 80gig sata drives

paid more for my mb and cpu than the tiger deal which includes case, kb and mouse
heard bad things about tiger and their rebates, great things about newegg, so I paid more for peace of mind (newegg had mb, ram & cpu here in two days with their standard fed ex saver shipping)
then decided on sata raid, ordered two 80gig drives from newegg for < $70 each ... should be here by tues

Hajo,
what slot did you stick your sound card in? what cpu cooler did you use?

Eagler:

Put Soundblaster LIVE 5.1 IN 2ND PCI slot below AGP.

Used approved AMD CPU Fan...made by someone for AMD, or made by AMD.....has AMD sticker on it.

Thermaltake Volcano 6CU Copper based fans I've used also with great results.

By the way...system up and running and highest temp I've seen is 50C.

Eagler by the way.....my father lives in Fla. during the winter and comes back home to Ohio in April.  He doesn't live to far from Tampa....matter of fact that's where I grab my flights home once I drop my father off so he can have a car while living there.  He lives in Palmetto...not to far.  I'll be that way the first week in October when I again drive him down.  Maybe we could hookup for lunch!
