As a chemist, I have acess to a lot of different chemicals. So here's a few cool things, and a mishap

This one is really fun if you ever get a chance: lake/pond + calcium/pottasium(large portion). The pottasium launched over 50 ft in the air, pretty cool

lots of dry ice and used 2 liter bottles (once one blew up too close to me and I had pieces of plastic in my arm)

Lastly, this one happened 3 days ago. I was trying to do a reaction, but it failed. Apparantly I had done something wrong b/c after a/b three hours of being in the trash can, the reaction started and caused a fire inside the trash can. When water didn't put the fire out, b/c it couldn't get rid of the reaction, I was forced to run the trash can outside and turn it upside-down in order to get rid of the oxygen to the fire. Needless to say, I got some wierd looks on my way out the door. My boss thought it was too funny and me too stupid and ashamed to really do anything besides tell me to be less of an idiot and more carefull.

I have a few but typically can't remember them right now. Well it is 3:30 am. One I do remember.  On the motorway. There was an exit lane and the barriers formed a vee with the slip road on the left and the motorway to the right.  Set back a little  was a big sign forming a small triangle, just big enough to take a car.  And sitting neatly in that triangle was a car.  How he did I don't know but he must have got airborne somehow and it plopped into the space.  It was freaky looking.  Another time I saw a motorway bridge completely surrounded by barriers inside of which sat an undamaged car. I just couldn't see how he did it. There were no gaps and no ramps. But there it was.

I have seen the entire deck of a 42' Viking sportfisherman blow about 30' into the air, do a slow roll and land upside down on the  gas dock.

I have seen what happens when you try to start a balky motorcycle by towing it behind a pickup truck, and it involves brains as abstract art.

I have seen a 12' tiger shark jump 15' in  the air and land mouth down, on a plastic bait being trolled at 18 knots.

I have seen a drunken idiot fall out of a moving car with a beer mug in each hand, and come up standing, with just the handles in his hands (and a little road rash here and there).

I have seen a ski-boat hit a bridge piling at 35 MPH, and observed the legs of the passenger as they punched through the hull.

I have caught a 30# sailfish that had his head stuck in a bucket (released, of course), and a perfectly formed sailfish baby that was about 2" long.

i saw a horse galloping at full speed meet an 18 wheeler cargo truck head-on ...the truck was also heading full speed towards the horse.

It was late night so the truck driver didnt see the horse until too late and the horse was dazzled by the lights.

Saw a bright flash of sparks and a horrible *thud* when the impact happened, half of the horse flying to the left, the other half upwards into the air.

I once watched 2 Yak-25 buzz the US Airforce U2 ground control post at Peshawar Pakistan. Then 12 Pakistani Korean War era F86 showed up to buzz them and chase them back over the Afganistan border. This all took place at 1000 feet untill they hit the Afgan border.

Funny thing is the Yak's kept flying low and straight to the border, the F86's kept flying near misses on each other trying to get in close to the Yak's.

I saw one of those "donuts on a rope" contrails that the area 51 conspiracy theorists are always talking about.

I saw Shawk at 5 K once:)

Also saw a duck attack and scare off 3 seperate cats that were attempting to stalk it.

Must have really unnerved the cats cause they always gave the duck a wide berth after that

Saw a man (my boss at the time) fly off a ladder that was 2 stories up and hit a parked van 10 feet away on the way down. Suffered a severe concussion, Broken arm in 2 places. Every rib on his left side, his left hip and his left leg.

After he recovered we teased him by asking him "Hey Ralph, You a Flapper or a screamer?"
Actually to me he looked more like he was trying to be a glider.

During lunch when I was in Jr. High I saw a kid pull a gun on another kid, put the gun to his head and pull the trigger. Gun didnt go off which turned out to be bad for the kid that pointed it, as the other kid proceeded to beat the living snot out of him.
