They'd have called it something very much less complimentary if the shell it fired only had a 3.7mm diameter. Hell, people I know complain about the 7.-odd mm mgs in the Spit 1.



Seriously though, I thought it was the Germans who referred to one of their own weapons as a ~klopfgeraet?
