Also, you could have a TBM Avenger (last listing i looked at had one w/ current airworthiness $225k), get near the Lancair speed & have some $ left over for torpedoes

Saw one at the SEMA show. Got to stick my head inside. Sad as it is to say, it's just another super high-end exotic... just like all the rest they're making nowadays. I think I'd rather fly a $100k aircraft over Houston than try to drive a $450k car on it's streets.
