What it affords is lots of opportunities to score points and rack up some easy kills as you guys capture bases that aren't defended very seriously,  so you guys probably end up landing an attack, bomber or fighter sortie scoring lots of "points" that garner you that higher rank.  Nothing wrong with it, jus saying it's not hard to do and for most of us "older" players it just isn't our cup of tea anymore.  As Shane said most of us have done that rank thing and moved on, because frankly playing the game in that context most of us found lacking.

Being the #'s dweeb that I am,  I have to say at this particular time, I care absolutely squat about a base capture.  I want fighter planes to shoot down.  Matter of fact, would like to catch a P-40E and a P-38L low on the deck in my CHOG.    hehehe :-)

I have just finished a tour in Dec. where I was watching rank.  I didnt do that bad either.   Upon completion, I have found a statement that sums up my feelings on being ranked low, "Rank schmank!"

Back again folks.   TalonX makes a good point you can take bases and do quite well with the rank.  I give to their squad because I think they're good folks and are capable of doing that.  I am hitting a boredom phase.  I feel exactly like Stang's original thought minus any disrespect that is taken.  Taking bases is great.  Just not doing it for me right now.   :-)  

By the way, can anyone tell that I just got BB account activated.  hehehe

id have to say that base capture is always a priority when on offence, defence is another matter.

Oh, ok, you're talking about thevirtual AH 1911.  I hear it has a nasty recoil, and is not very accurate, and only works well with 230gr. FMJ ball ammo.

Needs tuning.  No beavertail.  GI sights, GI safety.

Oh, then definitely throw CHOG and Jug40 in.  Those are presently my 2 fav planes.  Although, any Jug or hog will do.   I prefer the Jug 25 and 40   and the F4U-1 and F4U-1C
