The swastika has a very diverse history indeed.  The same cannot be said of its future, though, as it will always be primarily linked to the nazis.

OK the swastika might have a better origins, but how about a swastika on a German uniform.  In that context I think the poor taste and plum stupidity speaks for itself.

Context is everything.

LOL you really need to do some research on Dracula

But people dress up as Ghengis Kahn and Attilla the Hun all the time.
One or the other I forget which at the moment was actually more murderous then their Nazi counterpart

I dont think they should get all geeked out over that either.

I never got Native americans getting all upset over such things. None is ment as being insulting. Quite the contrary.

This is just idiotic.  What the hell do they want him to say for an apology?  Make a speech about how awful the Holocaust was, how wrong he was for wearing a swastika, etc. etc., how important it is that we act quickly to get rid of dictators in today's society so this sorta thing can't happen agai...  er... wait...  THAT wouldn't fly...  Hmmm.

Still, this is a REALLY stupid move for someone who KNOWS they're in the spotlight.  What the hell was he smoking?

Kudos for Charles though, sending him to the concentration camps and all.  I think he has the right approach here.

Still, people get entirely too caught up in this sort of ****.  Remember it, Honor the victims, Teach the youth so that it won't happen again, but take it easy and don't get so stressed about petty things like this particular incident.

Of course, if you were THERE well, by all means, feel however you have to feel, do whatever you have to do, I have nothing but respect for you and your wishes.  But if you WEREN'T there, don't get too worked up about THIS for crying out loud.

How nice of you to bestow that right to those who lived thrue one of the darkest periods of our parents times.

And no I was not there but my grandfathers brother and his wife  were there.

Sorry to say this but unless you have lost family or friends to the Holocaust I don't think you really need to be saying what is proper for some people to react a certain way about something like this.

And speaking of American Indians I agree I think It an insult to have sports teams using slang words like redskins in there names.

I mean how does the Buffalo boot lips sound.
Kinda racist huh?
Well I can imagine to an Indian redskin would be just as offensive

Um yeah...  Polish descent here bud.  My grandparents lost QUITE a few friends and family.  The just simply vanished, either to Hitler, or Stalin, who knows?

And sorry to say this, but for people to get this upset about a 20 year old kid wearing an armband to a costume party is absolutely ridiculous...  It's not like he committed a hate crime here people.

And let me clarify that in my previous post I was only referring to this Harry incident.  Because really, if you were not a witness to the horrors of the Holocaust, and you're getting this worked up about THIS particular Harry incident, well, a relaxing stroll may be in order.  If you WERE witness to the horrors (or even if you lost someone that you personally knew - not just heard about), well, your concerns are completely understandable.

I could understand not thinking Harry has the best character after this stunt.  Obviously his father is taking care of that though.

the kids a moron.

whats worse is that it serves to empower those who are looking for poster boys for the militant cause.

that said, the brits might reconsider propping up these insuffersble miscreates.

Vlad Dracul did far worse than you might think. you have to research yourself to find out how much worse.
