AH not saving views...
« on: December 29, 2004, 06:52:51 PM »
since the release of 2.0. Strange thing is that it mostly affects the side views but can affect them all in some planes. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thx, aztec.

Ok, been quite awhile since I posted this problem....does HTC monitor this forum? Sure would like some help as the future of my account hinges on getting this resolved. Thank you very much in advance!

Is it only happening on certain planes, or all of them?

Are you running an anti-virus program while playing AH?  This can cause it too (getting to where I despise AV programs).

Thx for thre quick reply Skuzzy.:)

It happens on all planes however not the same views are always affected from plane to plane. The most common view affected is the straight 3 and 9oc. It can be as few as these or all the views depending on the plane. I have to reset my views for every hop and it does get frustrating!

I am running Norton AV...will go and try without it right now.
Once again thx Skuzzy and I'll post my results in a few minutes.

Move or rename the Aces High "settings" folder and try it offline.  If you have been playing Aces High with your AV on, then wierd results can happen and get saved in those files.

Make sure your settings folder isn't set to read only.

good advice.  check the files and C if they R READ ONLY.  (right click, choose PROPERTIES)  if they ARE r/o, then uncheck that box.

Nope..just DL the updates. I had forgotten but after the 2.0 update AH would'nt remember my login info. Can't remember if it was you or Doug I talked with on the phone ....as it turns out that was a read only prob as well. Guess that will be the 1st place I look if any similar probs crop up. Thx again for the assist Skuzzy, .:)
