"(Relax FDB's, you're still the Golden Ale standard)"

"Ale"?  I think the word that fits better would be "Stream."

to the 13TAS.  I enjoyed bumping into you folks online in the game. Always a challenge (except one time when LLB and I, using ME262's, did to a few of you what you do to others with 51's.  Always a fun tiem to be had when you're 100mph faster than the opponent ;)   )

But  no matter the outcome I always saw a while drifting down in my chute and that made you all classy adversaries IMO..

13th...

I was 13th recruited by Yeager back in late 2000. That's where I learned to fly the AH version of the P-51 aftrer just coming over from AWIII. The 13th was a great squad with high standards.

It was a shame when the 13th disbanded in April 2001, but it was good to see them reforming as "Rudes Raider" and later converting back to the 13th TAS name.

During the time that the 13th still flew P-51s, the 412th lived for the rivalry and being able to find a group of P-51s to fight it out with. Many great fights were had between our two squads.

Once the 13th switched to Spits Vs and FM2s and the like, we didn't run into each other all that often, however, when we did it was still a good fight.

Always admired, never forgotten...

Wow, I'm having a hard time accepting a flight sim world without 13th TASholes around.

Good luck finding a new home Sax.

Bad news but Salute to the 13TAS!!

Had many fights with and against this squad.  First class group of Sim pilots all the way!

Many times have we partaken in the aerial joust!!

Rock:  Ya see that Ensign, lighting the cigarette?
Powell: Yes Rock.
Rock: Well that's where I got it, he's my son.
Powell: Really Rock, well I'd like to meet him.
Rock:  No ya wouldn't.

shame to see a squad like yours go :(

I remember when Lazs and myself got together on a private channel, sent our 2 cv's on a collision course, killed eachothers cruisers - just to start a mass furball between CV aircraft :D
I am not ashamed to confess that I am ignorant of what I do not know.

I got the pleasure to fly with 13th TAS for awhile when the 56th all but disbanded early last year.  They are a great group of guys that I still think of as my friends.

Sorry to hear the news.  All the best to those that moved on.

P.S. Mars is crazy :D

I think of beet1e daily, just before I flush.

Good luck finding a larger squad who is "as" talented as the 13th was Sax. Cough cough.

Yes, you could teach me about wingman tactics. And for as many wingmen as you always had, I'd say that wingman tactics was an indispensable parameter within the AH gameplay equation! :lol

But I guess your vulching technique needs honing up - particularly with regard to ack avoidance. Or did HTC implement changes to acks - flashing orange lights to warn you of active acks, maybe? :rofl

Stang, you young trollop! I love ya! :aok
