SAW,  I've been asking this same question for several weeks now and nobody has been able to view the films unless they have used the built in viewer.

HiTech Staff... can we get a answer.. we just want to watch the films in another format for training purposes.

Unless you use hypersnap I don't think you will be able to use anything else to view films.  If I understand it correctly it just records the flight data not the actual screen.  Then used the Front End to replay the data.  So you will have to use AH to view the recorded flight.  

I have been known to be wrong tho.  HTC?

 I asked about this during a "Godz" chat session and was told it is a future project. Until a stand alone viewer is released you will have to use the F.E. for viewing unless you have a vid card that allows video out to a vcr or camcorder.
