I hate it.  It seems to run all kinds of BS programs in the background, even at start up.  I am, however, not able to view a number of videos that are only available in QT.  I have yet to install it on my game machine since I rebuilt it…  Is it as bad of a program as I think?  Who else does not have it installed?

There is some programm called "Quicktime Alternative" that works OK. Anyway, I use KL Mega codec pack that includes stand-alone codecs for QT and Real Media, so I don't have to install this stupid monsterous players.

QT is an evil virus.

Get Quicktime Alternative.

For that matter, get Real Player Alternative too, same reason.

Use Firefox?
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.

folks, today u often install a programm without to notice that
u installed 2 or 3 more small programms too.
I suggest Startup Control Panel exact for this reasons.
This small program helps you to see what you really have
installed and what small programs start automaticaly each
time you start windows.
You then can simply deactivate or delete unwanted programs.
I use this small utilitie since a few years and honestly i cant
imagine running windows without it anymore.
If you start Control Panel the first time you maybe will be
surprized to see how much crap running in the background
in your windows OS.
