« on: January 23, 2005, 02:49:07 PM »
For abbout two weeks now been experiancing the same two things.

upon entering the main arena more often then not I get a "Host connection lost"
But on the second attempt I can always get in.

Another thing happening is the fuel and ammo settings for my planes sometimes gets set back to no Ord and only 25% fuel

All planes or just the ones used in other Arenas. I know neither should be true but stranger things have happend. Sounds more like a configuration file refreshing. I know-not much help.

If you use the plane in another arena the settings from there take over.
Not sure if that is what you experience but i use my favorites often in duelling arena with no ammo and 25% fuel, then that loadout is set next time i select them in MA. Are you sure you didnt change the loadout in another arena?

Other than that the host connection lost was a common problem on an old version... maybe it is back but i doubt it. Did you somehow manage to play with a version NOT bein the newest? i think it should be 2.01 patch 6.

Do you use preload textures in system or preload in video or both?

The old problem was that with the preloading the preload would take a while and the host would think you timed out because the game didnt react meanwhile.

Do you have the problem when you are not preloading them too?

Maybe the time for preloading takes longer now and it has to be fixed again by hitech?

hmm havent tried changing the preloading but it wasnt happening before and is something that just started a couple weeks ago.

I havent been in any of the other arenas in months. nor have I played with any other version.

Both seem to have started at around the same time. About two weeks ago. Prior to that everything worked perfectly.
Or as perfectly as anything works in the game anyway LOL
