That is key, some extreme moves like checking 6 and leaning around the headrest can result in the dots "leaving the box" and then it all gets screwed up. That is why I get better results with the TIR about 36 inches away from the bill of my hat.

I'll second the advice, although it seems pretty basic, that you should map some keys to the joystick. I have not only the TIR comands of center and off but also the AH comands mapped to mine. Once I get comfortable enough with it I'll have 16 different view keys free to play with :D

The best trick I can offer you is...

If you have a stick with programable buttons (I have saitek X-45)
Program one of your buttons as a combo set.
I have one of my thumb buttons set to both F12 and F9

its is set to time   so If I tap the button quickly it just hits F12 and centers my view
(this helps if you shift in your seeat) and if I hold the button down longer It Hits F12 and then F9 wich causes the view to center and and dissable tracking
this way you can get your shot off without messing it up my trying aim with your head.

hope this helps

Could you eleaborate on how you programmed your X45?
