Wheres "Old Crow"?
« on: January 24, 2005, 05:23:48 PM »
Havent herd if anyone was working on an "Old Crow" skin.  Personally i really want this skin.  Over this summer "Bud" Anderson was at a local air show and i was able to meet this wounderful man and was able to get his autograph on his book "To Fly and Fight".  I would settle for a skin for a P-51B or D version.  Hope someone will make one.

Here is a link to one of his web sites

There are issues with the current P51B skin.  Mirroring, along with other weirdness, are the sore spot of the skin.  The entire front fuselage starting near the cockpit is mirrored.  If "OLD CROW" were to be added, it would appear backwards on the right side.

Once the skin map is redone, I'm sure this  will show up in no time.

I sent in an olive drab P-51B from the 357th FG last week.   Its as close to "Old Crow" as we can get until the texture map for the 51B is redone.

Pic of it is posted in this forum last week....

I had a squad member asking about a skin of “Old Crow” in a D model and I told him that someone has already done it.  Doing a search I found that jerkins was doing it but did it get done?

This is what I put together to send to the squad member so he could play with it off-line:

Don’t know if it is worth submitting to HT.

As of a WWII Flight Sim...

the game is concentrated on combat, not on shaking the screen.

This thread was obviously made when we still had the old P51 graphics model...
Note that it's from 2005 and they're talking of mirror issues. :aok
