when i book a flight my computer tells me what AC i'm flying in and lets me pick a seat.

in related news. boeing said they are going  to stop making the DC9/MD80/boeing 7 something because of falling orders, that plane been around a long time, flown on them lots.

If you are that scared of flying I suggest you don't fly at all or go to a therapy. When I buy a plane tickets I look at the price and times and such, not the AC type. I don't care even if it's a friggin Tupolev if the price and time is right.

But if anyone is really interested about the real safety numbers, then you can find them easily and make your own conclusions.

mora , i'm not afraid of flying , i was saying i don't have to wait until i board the plane before i know what i'm flying on, i've flow on boeing , airbus, and some funny little furin prop planes, a dash something. just stating facts, not making judgements, actualy i think airbus has nice interiors.

Interesting snippet from that Airbus website;

Quote
And because Airbus has taken care of the boarding and deplaning issue, cutting out choke points by using ergonomic research to design two sets of doors, turn-round time is significantly lower. This allows schedules to be kept tight and extra flights flown

Once the airports are in shape to receive it, it looks like it will have faster turnarounds.

Very cool.. He used to fly 57's but has been on the 747 for about 5 years now.. He might move back to the 57 as a captain before he retires.. He likes those boeing planes and their glass cockpits.. :cool:

Yeah, I'm glad to hear the Airbus folks say it'll have faster turnaround time. I'll believe that when I see it.
